Siren is a four-piece lesbian indie / alternative rock band. They emerged from the flourishing Brighton music scene in the late 70s, pushing the boundaries with their politically radical songs and punchy, eclectic style. Some members were also in Devil’s Dykes and Bright Girls (featured on the Brighton compilation albums “Vaultage 78” and “80”).

Their 2022 album is ‘Under the Bridge’, which was recorded in their home studio during lockdown in 2020 and 2021. You can purchase ‘Under the Bridge’ CD here.

‘Under the Bridge’ refers to the band members having to play their instruments outside, under a wooden bridge in the garden. Siren’s 1980’s albums are ‘Siren in Queer Street’ and ‘Siren Plays’.

Time keeps moving on, but Siren is still here after more than 40 years, still writing, still rocking, still rebels to the core!

Jane Boston – guitar and vocals, Deb Trethewey – drums, Jude Winter – keyboards, Tash Fairbanks – bass.
